Freight rail is more fuel efficient, more reliable, and more self-sufficient than other forms of industrial transport. The freight rail industry even invests more than 20 billion annually to pay for its own infrastructure so taxpayers don’t have to. The goal of this campaign was to remind budget makers on Capitol Hill how vital Freight rail is to the Nation’s economy.
